The Nature's Ice Palace in the Tyrolean Zillertal valley has a constant temperature of 0°C all year round. The ice cave is open all year round and can be visited in any weather. A visit to the Nature's Ice Palace can be perfectly combined with a day of skiing on the Hintertux Glacier or a visit to the Panorama Terrace.

2. Cable car ticket
Pedestrians need the "Panoramic ticket Fascination Ice" to visit the Nature's Ice Palace (skiers use their ski pass). On site, simply exchange your voucher for a valid cable car ticket and take the gondola up to an altitude of 3,250 m. Alternatively, also the new 3-mountain-summerticket Tux³ takes you up to the Nature's Ice Palace.
Please note: Admission into the Nature's Ice Palace is not included in the mountain railway tickets.

How do you get up to the Hintertux Glacier?
A total of three cable cars are required for the ascent from the valley station to 3,250 m, involving two transfers.
From the valley station in Hintertux, take Gletscherbus 1 or the 8-seater Sommerberg cable car to the Sommerbergalm at 2,100 m. From there, take Gletscherbus 2 to the Tuxer Fernerhaus at 2,660 m. From the Tuxer Fernerhaus, the valley station of Gletscherbus 3 is a short 3-minute walk away. Gletscherbus 3 then takes guests up to 3,250 m to the mountain station with its panoramic terrace. You should allow about 40 minutes for the entire ascent.
The last restroom is located at the Tuxer Fernerhaus at 2,660 m. There are no restrooms on the panoramic terrace!
How long does the gondola ride take to reach the top station at 3,250 meters?
The trip from the valley station in Hintertux to the Gefrorene Wand at 3,250 meters takes about 40 minutes. It involves riding three gondola lifts (Gletscherbus 1, 2, and 3) and changing twice.
When can you go skiing on the Hintertux Glacier?
Thanks to its high altitude, the Hintertux Glacier offers Austria’s longest ski season, running from September through July.

May I bring my dog into the gondola?
Dogs are welcome in all our cable cars. They must be kept on a leash.
