Meeting point
& start
The meeting point is at 1:00 p.m. at the top station of Gletscherbus 2 with an employee from the Zillertaler Gletscherbahn.
To start, participants will tour Gletscherbus 2 and the new 10-person Tuxer Ferner monocable gondola. Whether it’s the drive system, the grip workshop, or the operator’s cab—here you’ll experience cable car operations up close and learn how precision, safety, and state-of-the-art technology all work together.
The world of
snow production
The second stop takes you to the pumping station, where you can learn lots of interesting facts about the complex system of artificial snow production. Among other things, you will find out what artificial snow is made of, when it is produced, and where the water needed for this comes from. From there, you can take a comfortable ride back to the Tuxer Fernerhaus on a snowcat.
Pistenbully
workshop
For many guests, a visit to the Pistenbully workshop, the third stop on the tour, is an absolute highlight. Here, the 600 hp machines are serviced 365 days a year. After about 90 minutes, the technical tour concludes with the return trip in a Pistenbully to the Tuxer Fernerhaus.
