Hintertux Glacier
Crazy for snow!
Autumn offers at the Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm Bahnen and Finkenberger Almbahnen include adventure playgrounds for children as well as hikes and bike tours.
Hintertux Glacier stands for snow fun all year round and has the longest skiing season in Austria. Now in autumn the whole mountain starts to dress up in white and entices people to take their skies out of the cellar and prepare to carve into winter.
From December, the Hintertux Glacier unites with the Eggalm Bahnen, Rastkogel Bahnen, Finkenberger Almbahnen, Penken/Mayrhofen and Ahorn to form the snow-sure Ski- & Glacier World Zillertal 3000.
Away from the slopes, the Panorama Terrace and two unique natural gems, the Nature’s Ice Palace and the Spannagel Cave are among the best Highlights in the Zillertal all year round.

SKI AUSTRIA SNOWPARK DAYS
From May 4th - 5th the SKI AUSTRIA SNOWPARK DAYS will take place on the Hintertux Glacier!
Splitboard Beginner Camp Hintertux
Test splitboards and bindings from all leading producers during this camp at Hintertux Glacier.
Freeheeler Campus
From November 25th, 2024 to November 28th, 2024 the Freeheeler Campus will take place on the Hintertux Glacier!
Freeheeler European Opening
The telemark season will start once more with the Freeheeler European Opening at Hintertuxer Glacier in Austria. Dive into the world of freeheeling during this amazing weekend. Participate in workshops, test new equipment and enjoy a nice gathering.

The Betterpark Hintertux is the highest and snowiest freestyle spot of Austria and rated as one of the best snow parks of the alps. As a freestyle-enthusiast, you can expect perfect jumps and an ever-changing jib setup from the beginning of Oktober. from the Panorama Terrace
Breathtaking views can be enjoyed all over the mountain, but the Panorama Terrace, which can be reached by our cable car Gletscherbus 3, is a very special place. At
3,250 m you are at the highest point of the Zillertal that can be reached via cable car. You are above most surrounding mountain peaks and have a view that last from the Dolomites to the Zugspitze.
Discover the Inside
of Glacier and Mountain
At Hintertux Glacier, you have the unique opportunity to see how the glacier and the mountain look from the inside. At the Nature's Ice Palace, you see huge ice formations build by natural forces over centuries. You can even go on a boat ride 30 m below the ski slope. The biggest cave and only marble cave in the central alps, the Spannagel Cave, is located near the Tuxer
Fernerhaus (2,660 m) and is just one cable car ride away. Here you can see how natural forces of water and geological processes formed the cave system which you can visit today. Don't miss it.
December to April
Ski- & Glacier World Zillertal 3000
In Winter the Hintertux Glacier combines with the Zillertal skiing mountains Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg, Penken/Mayrhofen and Ahorn to the skiing area Ski- & Glacier world Zillertal 3000. With just one ski pass you can enojy a total of 206 kilometres of slopes.

The ultimate adventure playground on the Eggalm invites all little hiking friends to exciting adventures! No matter if you are at the pulling boat, the raft or at the "Kneippstation" - the water pond can be explored in many ways. The Almspielerei can also be perfectly combined with a hike to collect the stamps for the hiking rally.

Eggalm Hiking Rally
Guessing, puzzling and discovering nature - with the Eggalm Hiking Rallye, even the smallest mountain enthusiasts can be inspired to go hiking. Pick up the puzzle pass at the ticket office at the valley station and the puzzle can begin. With three collected stamps you even get a small gift at the valley station!

The downhill valley run to Lanersbach provides the perfect way to round off an eventful day on the slopes. The final descent from 2300m to 1300m through the picturesque winter landscape will tug at your reserves of sporting stamina - however, skiing fun is guaranteed here right down to the bottom!

The 8 m tall "Penkenpepi" offers various attractions for children of every age. A playground with a climbing wall, a distorting mirror and a playhouse - on three levels are a lot of possibilities.
