Snow fun and glacier adventures all year round at
Hintertux Glacier

The Hintertux Glacier offers 365 days of snow fun, family adventures, deep insights and fascinating experiences at altitudes up to 3,250 m!

Snow fun
in summer

The Hintertux Glacier is an ideal destination for the whole family, especially in summer. On the mountain top at 3.250 m Luis' Glacier Bug Park awaits little conquerors with lots of snow for snowball fights, a snow tire carousel and a tubing run.

Luis' Glacier Bug
and Marble Run Safari

In the Sommerberg hiking area, an exciting adventure course is waiting to be discovered. Little conquerors learn about the glacier habitat amidst blossoming alpine meadows. No matter if you solve riddles about the glacier or if you discover various marble runs in the area, fun has no limits at Hintertux Glacier.

Hiking at the bottom
of Hintertux Glacier

Whether it's a day hike, a leisurely alpine trail or a breathtaking summit ascent: hiking is simply more fun if you are surrounded by this unique glacier setting. Above the tree line, between thundering waterfalls, among cheerfully whistling marmots or on lush green alpine meadows, there are highlights for everyone to be discovered.

The perfect view
from the Panorama Terrace

Breathtaking views can be enjoyed all over the mountain, but the Panorama Terracewhich can be reached by our cable car Gletscherbus 3, is a very special place. At
3,250 m you are at the highest point of the Zillertal that can be reached via cable car. You are above most surrounding mountain peaks and have a view that last from the Dolomites to the Zugspitze. Furthermore, you can also take a picture at our photo point with the Olperer in the background. Like this, everyone is guaranteed to be on the picture.

Discover the Inside
of Glacier and Mountain

At Hintertux Glacier, you have the unique opportunity to see how the glacier and the mountain look from the inside.  At the Nature's Ice Palace, you see huge ice formations build by natural forces over centuries. You can even go on a boat ride 30 m below the ski slope.  The biggest cave and only marble cave in the central alps, the Spannagel Cave, is located near the Tuxer
Fernerhaus (2,660 m) and is just one cable car ride away. It can be visited again from June 1st onwards. Here you can see how natural forces of water and geological processes formed the cave system which you can visit today. Don't miss it.
