365 days of snow fun at the Hintertux Glacier
Nowhere else is skiing in Austria as varied and enjoyable as in the Tyrolean Zillertal Valley: The Hintertux Glacier is Austria’s only year round ski resort and offers winter sports enthusiasts perfectly groomed, snow-sure runs 365 days of the year, great food and a fascinating experience of nature at altitudes of up to 3,250 m.

Beginners as well as experienced skiers and snowboarders have over 60 km of slopes in all levels of difficulty at their disposal at the Hintertux Glacier ski resort. A special attraction for deep snow fans are the fantastic free-ride runs at the Lärmstange. Snowboarder and free-skiers certainly appreciate the year round freestyle-opportunities at the Betterpark Hintertux at 3,200 m.
In the winter of 2015/16, the Hintertux Glacier was awarded with the test-winner award in the snow-safety category by the renowned test portal Skiresort.de.
Summer offers skiers and boarders all four seasons wrapped into one, fabulous views stretching as far as the Großglockner, Dolomites and the Zugspitze as well as an unparalleled summer ski resort. Day trippers, mountain bikers and hikers enjoy a mixture of sporting activity and relaxation in wonderful high Alpine landscapes.
Families and children can have fun with mascot „Luis“ in the Gletscherflohpark at 3,250 m or at the Flohpark at Sommerberg. In early autumn there’s plenty of fresh snow on fantastically wide, sun drenched pistes and the first Snowpark-Opening in Europe.
In winter the Hintertux Glacier merges with the other ski mountains of Zillertal; Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg, Penken/Mayrhofen and Ahorn to form the snow-sure Ski- & Glacier world Zillertal 3000, where winter sports enthusiasts can make the most of 196 kilometres of pistes using only one ski pass!
Betterpark Hintertux is one of the highest freestyle-spots in Austria and is considered by many to be the best Snowpark in the Alps.
