Behind the scenes at the Tuxer Fernerhaus
Highlights:
- Take the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at the Tuxer Fernerhaus, our hub at 2,660 m, with our gastronomy manager Bernhard Kofler.
- In addition to the publicly accessible areas such as restaurants, bars, sports store and much more, there are areas that are normally reserved for employees only.
- Discover hidden areas such as the water supply, ventilation center, canteen kitchen, beverage storage and much more
- Find out how many kilometers of strudel are baked each year, where products such as fresh milk come from, and why many pieces of equipment have a backup.
- Your guide is Bernhard Kofler. He has been part of the Zillertaler Gletscherbahn management team for many years and, as Head of Gastronomy, looks after a team of 80 employees and is responisble for stock replenishment. He is also responsible for many other areas, such as the management of snow clearing in Hintertux.

- Meeting point: at the Tuxer Fernerhaus (2,660 m) in front of the cash desks in the self-service restaurant
- The tour is conducted in German only.
- Duration: approx. 80 minutes
- Attention: Limited number of participants - ticket booking absolutely necessary! Book your appointment here
- Fee: Euro 10.00 / person excluding cable car ticket.
- The tour ends at the Tuxer Fernerhaus.
- Dogs are not allowed.
