Stay safe on the mountain

Last update: 06.05.2022
On April 16, 2022, the Austrian federal government cancelled the FFP-2 mask requirement in gondolas and restaurants. Wearing a mask is therefore no longer compulsory, but we still recommend to wear a mask in appropriate places. If required, FFP-2 masks are available at the cash desks of the valley stations!
We wish you a nice day of ski!
What you can continue to do to ensure safety on the mountain:
Useful information from our experience
- Use off-peak times:
To get from the car parking to the slopes as quickly and relaxed as possible, we recommend an ascent at the beginning of our operating hours.
For the restaurants: If you plan to have your lunch break before 11:30 or after 14:00, you will certainly be spoilt for choice. - Make a table reservation in advance:
For our service restaurants at Hintertux Glacier, a table can be reserved online:
- Don’t jostle - just chill:
This applies to all waiting areas! "Slow and steady wins the race" in this case!
- Good ventilation in the cable car cabins:
Weather permitting, the windows in the cable cars are open to ensure good ventilation. Please do not close them!
- Cashless payments:
Wherever possible, you can make use of contactless and cashless payment options.
- Only hit the slopes when you are healthy:
If you have symptoms that could indicate a possible Covid-19 infection, please stay at home and get them clarifyed. - Show responsibility:
Protect your health and the health of those around you!
