Nature's Ice Palace
The Natural Ice Palace has been opened to the public since 3rd November 2008. In August 2007 Roman Erler of Natursport Tirol, whilst doing a mountain tour discovered the cave by chance.
NEW!!! In February 2010 the Nature’s Ice Palace was extended. You walk down stairs over a glass staircase into the walk of ice, it is a wide corridor forms a link between the glass staircase and the ice chamber. The ice dream shows fascinating images as well as ice crystals measuring up to 10cm.
Guided tours are from 9.30 am (advance notice required), 10.30 am, 11.30 am, 12.30 pm, 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm.
Meeting point is the top station of the Gletscherbus 3 lifts. Your equipment should be a hiking footwear and jacket ecommended. Tours wearing ski boots are possible. Duration approx. 1 h, entrance fee adults EUR 8,–, children EUR 4,– minimum age 8 years.
