Spectacular views from the Panorama Terrace

The Panorama Terrace on the Hintertux Glacier is located at an impressive 3,250 metres above sea level and is easily accessible for both able and disabled persons. From the base station in Hintertux, visitors glide up to the fascinating mountains of Zillertal in comfortable gondolas from the base station in Hintertux. This means that trips to the glacier are no problem at all for those using buggies or wheelchairs, forming an unforgettable experience for those who are rarely able to reach such impressive heights. The ascent alone with the glacierbus 3 lifts, the highest double cable, cable car, is an experience in itself!

The highest point in the Zillertal Alps with lift access can be found on the spacious observation deck at the top station of the lifts. This is where you will literally enjoy a bird’s eye view of everything!

Breathtakingly extensive views open up in panoramic form, ranging from the Zugspitze to the Dolomites and Großglockner. From this location you can also enjoy probably the best view of the high Alpine Zillertal Alps Nature Park. Thanks to the „Viscop“ telescopes with integrated information you will always know which peak or mountain range you are currently focussing on.

  • Access to the ascent is barrier and problem-free for baby carriges and wheelchaire as well.
  • Specially installed Viscope observation scope illuminates the impressive mountain panorama.

Our Tip - Nature's Ice Palace

The ice cave is open all year round and can be visited in any weather. A visit to Nature’s Ice Palace can also be easily combined with a ski day on the Hintertux Glacier or with a trip to see the views from the Panorama Terrace.
