1) The culmination of a fantastic ski day at the Hintertux Glacier has to be the downhill run from the Gefrorenen Wand at 3,250 m via pistes Nr, 4, Nr. 3, Nr. 2 and then Nr. 1a „Schwarze Pfanne“ run down to the valley and Hintertux.
2) Carving specialists and boarder chicks have already long discovered that special snow feeling on the finest natural snow slopes at Schlegeis (Nr. 5) or Olperer (Nr. 9).
3) The Zillertal Valley is home to 55 three thousand metre peaks and magnificent panoramic views stretching from the Zugpitz to the Großglockner can be experienced from the Panorama Terrace at 3.250 m above sea level.
4) The new Sun Terrace, created in December 2009 at the Sommerberg is the best place to relax and wind down whilst topping up that glacier tan.
5) Chill out with friends after a fantastic ski day with a glass of homemade glühwein at the Sommerberg Arena and forge plans together on how to spend your next day on the slopes.
6) The Spannagelhöhle Caves are a protected natural monument and house an amazing array of stalactites, crystals and marble seams as well as a legion of bats, who more than happy to introduce themselves to you during a tour or trekking expedition in the caves.
7) Magical winter landscapes can be experienced on a winter hike from the Sommerberg to the Bichlalm. You have the choice of either tobogganing down or walking from the Bichlalm to Hintertux.
8) Another amazing highlight is waiting to be discovered 25 m below the perfectly groomed pistes. The Natural Ice Palace captivates guests with its’ ice crystals of up to 70 cm, stunning ice formations and glittering ambience.
9) Just try out something new and book a snowboard, freestyle or even a Telemark course with one of the ski schools.
