Kasererscharte – Frauenwand

Take the cable car to the Sommerbergalm (1st section of the glacier lifts, 2.100 m) and follow Path Nr. 527 along the Kasererscharte Gorge. This leads through steep mountain meadows, offering fantastic views of the Hintertux Glacier, the imposing “Lärmstange” and the eastern edge of the Tux Alps. Follow the ridge to the summit of the Frauenwand (2,541 m) and then return in the direction of the Tuxer-Joch-Haus (2.310 m). From there you have the choice of either taking the easy descent to the Sommerbergalm, or carry on along Path Nr.  326 through the idyllic Weitental (Wide Valley) back to Hintertux.
